Roller Blinds Sydney — Sunscreen, Blockout & Dual Roller Blinds

Clean lines. Practical shade. Made to measure.

Roller blinds are the most versatile and practical window covering for Sydney homes. A single fabric panel rolls up neatly into a compact headrail when not in use — giving you unobstructed views and clean architectural lines. Choose from sunscreen mesh (filter light, preserve view), blockout (total darkness), or dual roller (both on one bracket for day/night control).

All roller blinds are custom-made in our Sydney workroom from premium fabrics including Phantom, Luxaflex, and Vertilux ranges. Motorised options from Somfy and Lutron with smart-home integration. Chain-driven or motorised — child-safe tensioned systems as standard. Book a free in-home measure today. See finished installations in our Sydney projects gallery.

Frequently asked questions

Why do blockout roller blinds still leak light?
Blockout fabric blocks light through the material, but light still enters at the sides, the top and the bottom, and through the centre join on wide windows. The gaps — not the fabric — are the problem, and they can be closed.
How do I stop light gaps on a blockout roller blind?
Side channels — aluminium profiles the blind slides into — block side light completely. Mounting outside the reveal also covers side gaps. Together they give the closest thing to a true blackout for a roller blind.
Should a blockout blind be mounted inside or outside the reveal?
Outside the reveal is better for light control, because the blind covers the whole window frame and stops light leaking around the edges. Inside-reveal mounting looks neater but almost always leaves visible side gaps. If darkness matters, mount outside.
Can I get one roller blind wider than 3 metres?
Yes. Wide roller blinds are available, but they need a larger tube and heavier hardware to avoid sagging. Very wide windows may be better served by two linked blinds or a linked motorised system. Ask your supplier for the maximum width without sag.
How much do blockout roller blinds cost in Sydney?
In 2026, expect roughly AU$150–$500 per window for a standard blockout roller blind supplied and installed. Side channels, wider spans and motorisation add to the cost. Have the supplier measure to avoid expensive remakes.
Are motorised roller blinds worth it?
For wide, tall or hard-to-reach windows, and for linked blinds on large windows, yes. For a standard bedroom window a quality manual chain-operated blind is perfectly adequate.
